2009 Call for Proposals

As we look to the future with our 2009 Annual Meeting and Exhibits in Chicago, AACTE is seeking proposals that highlight the Innovation and Impact of the educator preparation profession on PK-12 student learning, leadership development, and overall achievement. Proposals selected for presentation at the 61st Annual Meetings and Exhibits will showcase the leading edge, ground-breaking, and novel innovations that are impacting teaching and learning, leadership methods, research, and productive partnerships. These guiding principles embody the four strands which support our 2009 Annual Meetings and Exhibits theme:

  • Enhancing Teaching and Learning
  • Impact of Innovative Approaches to Leadership Development
  • Research, Rigor, and Relevance
  • Reciprocal, Intentional, and Sustainable Partnerships

2009 Call for Reviewers

Interested in reviewing papers and proposals for the 61st Annual Meeting and Exhibits in Chicago? Reviewers will be responsible for evaluating no more than 15 submissions from early May to mid-June of 2008. Please keep in mind, serving as a reviewer for the 2009 conference will not prevent you from being eligible to submit a proposal.

To volunteer to serve as a reviewer, please complete the following steps:

    1. Complete the Call for Reviewers volunteer application.
    2. Once completed, click the “Submit by Email” button in the upper right-hand corner of the application.  You will need to be connected to the Internet in order to successfully send the application.
    3. Be sure to click on the “Print Form” button, also in the upper right-hand corner, to print a copy of your application for your personal records.

Application Deadline: April 15, 2008

To successfully submit a Call for Reviewers application, you will need the latest version of Adobe Acrobat, which can be obtained for free at www.adobe.com.

Over the years, AACTE has established a legacy of addressing quality matters in the preparation and support of teachers, counselors, and educational leaders. This tradition continues with the 2008 Annual Meeting, which will showcase AACTE member institutions in action through presentations and sessions on matters of quality related to equity, access and advocacy, collaboration, innovation, and accountability and impact. Given the current context in which quality matters more than ever to the public and to the profession, this year's theme is designed to provide opportunities for demonstrating and sharing evidence of quality programs and outcomes for educator candidates and for all students.
