Regular membership is available to four-year degree-granting colleges and universities with significant commitment to the preparation of education personnel, which meet all the criteria for regular membership. Affiliate membership is available to not-for-profit two-year domestic degree-granting institutions of higher education; not-for profit two-year or four year degree-granting foreign institutions of higher education and not-for profit organizations, state education associations, regional education laboratories, university based research or policy centers, and other not-for profit education associations as identified by the AACTE Board of Directors. For more information on any category of membership, and whether or not your institution is eligible for membership, contact Kim Murray at 202-293-2450 or email at kmurray@aacte.org Why Become an AACTE Member? Your institution's membership in AACTE lends strength to the Association's efforts on behalf of the entire membership. With over 780 institutional members, the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education brings the power of collective voice to national and state arenas on the complex and critical mission of preparing high-quality teachers capable of having an impact on the learning of all PK-12 students. AACTE works to shape legislation on Capitol Hill, brings you the latest research and information, forges alliances with other education organizations and agencies, maintains significant relationships with national accrediting groups, alerts members to actions within their states, and creates opportunities and resources for members to use in building capacity within their institutions. Each designated Institutional Representative from your school, college, or department of education directly receives many of the benefits. Additionally, because your institution belongs to AACTE, every faculty member has access as well, either through electronic means, applied discounts, or through your Institutional Representatives sharing the resources. We believe that membership in AACTE is a value-added proposition and in turn, we want you to know how much we value your institution. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of all students. For more information on membership with AACTE, contact Kim Murray at 202-293-2450, or email at kmurray@aacte.org. Become an AACTE Member Applying for membership with AACTE is easy.
