AACTE is dedicated to life-long learning and believes that the Association plays a critical role in identifying and meeting the learning needs of teacher education deans and faculty. To this end, AACTE offers its members and others a full calendar of professional development opportunities.

The Annual Meeting and Exhibits is AACTE's signature event, drawing over 2,400 participants to a comprehensive program of presentations, networking opportunities, and special events. Recognized as a premier source of professional development programs, the Academy for Leadership Development sponsors the New Deans Institute, Leadership Institute for Department Chairs, and other such institutes.

Additional professional development conferences and workshops are scheduled throughout the year, focusing on specific projects, activities, and topics.
